Buttercream & Honeycomb

Happy Spring everyone! Pictured above and below is a silicone cupcake mold I bought a year ago. When I was doing my New Years decluttering, I had to decide if it was staying or going. Of course I picked stay, look how cute it is!
I decided to use an inspiration photo and make some melt & pour soap as close as I could to the colours in the Jewel Pops in the picture below. These are new colours that are part of the latest Kameleon Jewelry release and the colours are Buttercream & Honeycomb. The Honeycomb (the Jewel Pop on the right) is more gold in real life so that's what I was going for.

I started by melting 1 pound of Honey melt & pour soap with one little square of Goat Milk melt & pour thrown in. These Jewel Pops have a Mother of Pearl background that makes them slightly opaque and the little bit of Goat Milk soap did that for the Honey soap. Once the soap was melted I added 1 teaspoon of fragrance and a pinch of white mica. This gave me the Buttercream colour so I poured the soap in to 4 cavities of the silicone mold. That used 1/2 of the soap. To the remaining soap I added a pinch of gold mica making the soap the warm gold colour of the Honeycomb Jewel Pop. I had enough Honeycomb coloured soap to fill the other 4 cavities so I was able to make all 8 soaps with 1 pound plus 1 square of soap.  And here it is:

Thanks for stopping by!
